Realistic Mistakes used to make one kind of slip: misspell the end of a word, then go back and fix it. Each mistake is now one of nine, including swapped letters, a doubled key, a space hit one key early, a dropped letter, a hand that landed one key over, a missed Shift on a capital, and the wrong their or there that gets caught at the end of the sentence. Every one is noticed and corrected the way a person would, in Docs, Slides, and Word.

Google Docs and Word like to "fix" what the Auto Typer types: recapitalizing words, swapping quotes, correcting the mistakes you asked for. The first time you type, Write It asks whether it can turn autocorrect off for the run. Your own settings come back when typing ends, your choice is saved, and you can change it any time in Typing settings.

Apollo can now read a Word for the web document, add paragraphs to the end, and replace an exact phrase, checking the document after every edit. It connects through the Word tab you already have open, with no Google permission screen. Text documents only for now; files with tables or images aren't supported yet.

The side panel shortcut is now Alt+W (Option+W on a Mac), and it closes the panel as well as opening it. The old Alt+Shift+W never worked on Windows because Chrome keeps that key for itself. The first time you open the panel, a card shows the key Chrome gave you, or a link to set one.

Write It no longer asks Chrome for permission to know your email address or to modify what you copy and paste. Neither was needed, so both are gone, and the install prompt is two lines instead of four.

If you closed a Google Doc and moved to another tab, Apollo could hold on to the old document and send typing to the wrong place. Every run is now locked to the document and tab it started in, and if Apollo can't confirm where the cursor landed, it stops instead of writing.

Word for the web sometimes accepts a keystroke without showing it right away, and the Auto Typer read that as a miss and typed the letter again. Doubled letters are gone, typing over selected text no longer repeats the first character, and Write It Max waits for Word to finish deleting before it types the rewrite.

Connecting a Google Slides deck now shows only the presentation you have open instead of making you find it among all your files, and reconnecting reuses the access you already gave.

The message box fits the side panel again. The model picker comes first, the Apollo or Research switch and the typing mode sit behind one options button, Send stays on the row, and the placeholder is one short line instead of text clipped behind a scrollbar.

Friends who join with your code now earn you days of Premium instead of free uses: 1 day for the first, 2 for the second, 4 for the third, a full week after three friends. Each friend gets 3 days of Premium of their own. It starts the moment you run any AI tool.

If you signed in through the website instead of a Google account in Chrome, Insert Text on Slides said "Please sign in" and Docs could sign you out mid-run. Typing now runs on your Write It session, so it works the same for everyone.

The Research tab's Sources page opens on the search box. Results are ranked by credibility with a grade and source type on every card, saving is one click, and the details form only opens when a title, author, or date is missing. Presets, thesis, and library settings moved behind the gear.

Live grammar and spelling checks now run from Sydney and Singapore servers when you're in the region, instead of a round trip to the US on every check. If a regional server has trouble, the check falls back to the US on its own.

The side panel now opens on the Auto Typer, the tool that is free forever, instead of the Agent. Returning users still land on whatever tool they used last.

Signing in on a Google Doc no longer opens the Google Docs access screen or runs a review you didn't ask for. Docs access is only requested when you click Review, Apply, or Connect.

Apollo no longer needs a Google Docs or Slides tab. Open the panel anywhere and chat; connect a document only when you want something typed into it. Ask for something that belongs in a doc and Apollo holds the message until you connect one, then sends it for you.

Apollo keeps a short memory of how you write and what you've worked on, so you stop re-explaining yourself every conversation. See, edit, or delete any fact from the Context tab, or turn memory off entirely.

The whole extension now speaks Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), German, French, Finnish, Russian, Indonesian, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Hindi, and Filipino. Pick yours in Settings > Account.

Ask Apollo or the Research Agent for a paragraph and the writing comes back on its own card with Copy and Edit, separate from the conversation around it.

The Research tab is now two pages, Sources and Agent, running on newer models with prompts built around grounding rules. Search filters out "checking your browser" junk pages, renders snippets properly, and shows a credibility grade before you save.

The Humanizer now shows exactly what changed, word by word, and hands the result straight to Insert Text or the AI Detector. Use Selected Text pulls from your document without copy-pasting.

Results now come as a clear low, mixed, or high signal with a one-click handoff to the Humanizer, instead of a bare percentage that looked more certain than it was. When the detector can't reach its provider, it says so rather than showing a made-up 50%.

Speed, mistake rate, and realistic typing patterns now sit on a collapsible card right above the editor, next to the Write It Max switch. The header shows your AI score as a ring while it checks, and short-text buttons tell you how many characters you still need.

Grade With Rubric is a numbered attach, connect, grade flow that connects your document in place instead of bouncing to Apollo, and shows results and errors instead of returning you to a blank page.

Apollo's own edits no longer trip the "document changed since the last read" error, PDF and Word attachments are read as text instead of images, and a dropped connection finishes the run in the background so you can Continue instead of starting over.

The Classic layout is retired; everyone is on the Apollo side panel. All tools is a labeled toggle in the header, the tools drawer slides open, and the unused Messages inbox is gone. A slim invite ribbon sits above the header for free accounts, and the Referrals tab is back in Settings.

MLA headers, section numbers, lists, and blank lines now survive the rewrite instead of collapsing into one flat paragraph. Citations and your Works Cited are left exactly as you wrote them, and the pop-out window no longer flattens paragraphs either.

Apollo's smaller corrections now go through the same human-style typer as full drafts — character by character, with every deletion verified before the replacement is typed. No more instant API-style edits standing out in your version history.

Long conversations now reuse what the model has already read instead of paying for it again — up to 70% fewer tokens on long chats.

Every AI run now debits your balance exactly once, backed by a full charge ledger. If a network hiccup delivers the same request twice, the duplicate is recognized and never billed.

Your free monthly tokens now refill on the monthly anniversary of your signup date, instead of everyone waiting for the 1st.

Daily free-run limits only apply to free runs. If you have tokens, the run keeps going on your balance instead of stopping.

Manual Insert Text works on Slides again, typed straight into the text box you selected.

Reopening a saved conversation now shows Apollo's replies and keeps the activity cards, and every document gets its own chat that resumes automatically when you come back.

The Writing tab now switches the moment you change tabs, tells you when the reviewed document is open somewhere else, and explains what to do when a document can't be read.

AI detection is pinned to a fixed detector version so scores stay consistent run to run — and your essay text is never written to our server logs.
